First Aid at work Level 3

This is a more in depth course than the Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate. It qualifies the successful student to be a 'First Aider'. This for individuals or companies who have identified they require a slightly greater level of knowledge from their risk assessments.

First Aid at work Level 3

It is a 3 day course with a minimum of 18 hours classroom training. It can be carried out in shorter sessions over a maximum 10 week period if this is more suitable for the needs of your company.

It covers the same subjects as the Emergency First Aid certificate:

  • Legislation

  • Regulation

  • Actions in an emergency

  • Primary survey

  • Secondary Assessment

  • The respiratory system

  • Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Disorders of respiration

  • Disorders of the circulation

  • Wounds and Bleeding

  • Epilepsy

  • Minor burns and scalds

  • Foreign objects

This course also covers:

  • Bones, joints and muscle injuries

  • Head and Spinal injuries

  • Chest and abdominal injuries

  • Specialised burn injuries (eg chemical burns)

  • Eye injuries

  • Poisoning

  • Anaphylaxis

  • Major illnesses

Students will receive a course manual included in the price.

Successful students will receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate from an Ofqual recognised awarding body. This is valid for 3 years.
