Immediate management of anaphylaxis Level 3

Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life threatening allergic reaction. Also known as Anaphylactic shock.

HSE regulations state that employers who have staff that are at risk of this and carry an auto-injector (epipen) must carry out a risk assessment. 

It is a 6 hour course that covers:

  • What is anaphylaxis and the legal position on the use of adrenaline
  • Triggers
  • Life threatening conditions
  • Early recognition
  • Treat for anaphylaxis
  • Key features of Auto Injectors
  • Initial assessment of patient
  • CPR
  • Recognition of anaphylaxis and using an auto injector
  • Disposal of sharps

Successful students will receive a Level 3 Immediate management of anaphylaxis certificate valid for 3 years on completion of course.
